The Great Peach Experiment #2: The Peach Pit by Erin Soderberg Downing

How I Heard About It:
*Author and friend Erin Soderberg Downing sent me an advanced copy of her upcoming middle-grade novel.  The book will be released in April of 2022.

What It Is About - FIVE Things You Need to Know:
*Summer is over and the Peach family has returned to Minnesota after spending the summer in their food truck. (Read book #1)

*They have returned to Duluth, Minnesota just in time for the new school year.

*Life becomes a bit more exciting and challenging, when Great Aunt Lucinda makes them an offer they can't refuse.

*The Peach family, moves into the old mansion that needs quite a bit of love and repair.

*Each member takes on responsibility in converting the house into a "bed and breakfast" that will attract visitors from near and far.

What I Thought Of It - Five Observations/Reflections:
*I am a huge fan of Erin Soderberg Downing and the books she writes for middle-grade writers.  One of my favorite series is The Quirks.  I think this new series may become a new favorite.

*It was fun and enjoyable to revisit the Peach family and see what they were up to this time around.

*The setting of Duluth, Minnesota was a treat as I lived in the Twin Cities which is just a couple of hours south.

*The new plot was fresh, exciting, and full of great strong family moments.

*After reading several chapters, I was quite surprised to read about Herb's third grade teacher and the book club he ran with the readers.  Thank you Erin for the "shout-out".

Who Should Read It:
*If you have read the first book in this series, you must.  Then you, and your readers, will be ready for the second book in the series which will be released on April 26, 2022.  The books are perfect for readers in second through fifth grade.  Happy Reading!
