*Our "Breakfast with Books" book club is one of my most favorite aspects of my teaching career.
*This book club has grown and expanded in the last few years that I could actually call it "Breakfast with Books" 2.0.
*Our second section was Maxi's Secrets by Lynn Plourde. I read it during the summer of 2016, fell in love with the story, and knew I had to pick it.
*Lynn Plourde was gracious enough to agree to a Skype visit during our actual morning book club. We were thrilled and prepared ourselves for the chat with her.
*Each member of the book club created questions and comments to share with the author.
*Lynn opened the Skype session with a bit of background information about herself and this novel.
*Then the readers has the chance to ask some questions and share some comments. It was a complete joy to watch my students interact with Lynn.
*Here are some images from our second gathering where we enjoyed some tasty breakfast treats, talked about a powerful and meaningful story, and interacted with a one of a kind author.
