Friend Friday #166 (A Whole New Ballgame by Phil Bildner)

Hi!  I'm Abdisamad and I read the book called A Whole New Ballgame written by Phil Bildner.

I thought this book was cool because the teacher in the story doesn't give out homework which would be awesome.  Their teacher is also the basketball coach.

My favorite part in the story was when the boys thought they were going to be partners but then they weren't because it was funny because I thought they would be, but I was surprised that they were not partners.

The character that I liked best was Rip and Red because they come together like a package.

I think the author wrote this book because he wanted to entertain kids and teach them to be yourself and do what you like best.

I would recommend this book to my friends because it is interesting and they will like how it is opposite of what most other teachers do.

Reading to me is amazing because there is a lot of entertainment and surprising parts especially in this book.  This was a perfect fit for me because the words and story were just right for me.

*Abdisamad is a fourth grader in my class.
*He was very excited about this "Breakfast with Books" book club pick.
*Abdi was the first student to request my personal copy of the book to read when I announced the book.
*It didn't take him long and he was hooked.
*I had so much fun watching him read this over several days and talking to him about this story.
