Friend Friday #147 (Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls)

Hi!  We are Mr. Pengilly's Class and we read the book called Where the Red Fern Grows written by Wilson Rawls.

We think this book is fantastic and adventurous because it teaches the reader that anything is possible with hard work and faith.

Our favorite part in the story is when Billy wins the hunting contest because he overcame being the "underdog".

The character that we liked best was Billy because he had great determination.

We think the author wrote this book because he wanted to provide the reader with an adventure that would make them think about who they are.

We would recommend this book to our friends because it has a great life lesson and is a thrilling adventure.

Reading to us is awesome because we can escape into another world and enjoy that world together.

*Mr. Pengilly is a fourth grade teacher that I have worked with for many years.
*This is one book that he loves to share with his classes each year.
*He told me that it is a sure winner with any group of students.
*Mr. Pengilly also shared that no matter how many times he reads it, he still cries.
*Thanks Mr. Pengilly's 2015-2016 fourth grade class for sharing your thoughts with me.
