*I am a total burger guy.
*When I saw this recipe on FaceBook, my wife and I gave the recipe a try and were not disappointed.
*These Bürgers were so good and perfect for a summer meal!
Ingredients…
- 2½ pounds ground beef
- 3 Tablespoons ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 8 brioche buns (or the hamburger bun of your choice)
- 4 ounces crumbled blue cheese
- 2 avocados, thinly sliced
- 2 cups arugula leaves
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup Sriracha Mayo
Directions…
- Place ground beef, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, basil, thyme, salt, Tabasco and pepper in a large bowl.
- Using your hands, mix the ingredients until all ingredients are incorporated into the ground beef.
- Form 8 patties, remembering to dimple each patty in the center
- Grill hamburgers for approximately 6 minutes a side (keep in mind, this time is dependent on how close your burgers are to the flame, how thick your burgers are, and how well done you want your burgers-you may want a little more time...or a little less)
- Allow hamburgers to rest, covered with a foil tent, until you are ready to build your burger!
- Grill buns cut side down until golden (this can also be done in your oven-put buns cut side up on a baking tray, broil for 45 seconds-1 minute, until golden).
- Spread bottom of bun with ½ Tablespoon Sriracha Mayo
- Stack arugula, tomato slices, avocado slices and then the burger onto the bottom of the bun.
- Sprinkle top of hot burger with ½ ounce of crumbled blue cheese.
- Finally, cover with top bun.
- Enjoy!
