*I spent four wonderful days in Baltimore, Maryland. I flew to the convention on Wednesday, November 20th and returned home on Sunday, November 24th.
*My heart and mind were full and I think this convention topped the last four I have attended.
*Saturday saw me attending some morning sessions and then attending the Charlotte Huck Book Awards Luncheon. We had been reading all year to find the perfect stories to recommend. The lunch, speeches, and announcements were such a highlight of the weekend.
*I ventured off to a few more sessions, wandered the exhibit floor, and then headed to the Nerdy Penguin Cocktail party. This is always a great gathering of NERDY friends.
*Saturday night, I spent at the Random House dinner which was absolutely wonderful. Ran into some more nerdy friends back at the hotel bar.
*I was extremely tired by this point, but I also wanted to make the most out of Sunday. I attended two early morning sessions which rounded out my experience in Baltimore. Having some time before my flight, I took in some fresh air and some sights near the harbor. The perfect way to end my four days in Maryland. I can't wait for next year when we will all gather in Denver.
*Here are some images from my second two days (Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24) at #NCTE19...
