*March is one of my favorite times of the school year.
*A few years back, the fourth grade team started to celebrate March Madness with our own version of "Picture Book March Madness".
*Each year we pick 32 different picture books and the competition begins.
*We narrow down to the sweet 16, the elite 8, the final four, and of course the championship round.
*We began at the start of March and have been sharing 2 picture books a day since.

That looks fun. How do you carry out the activity? Do you ask students to read all the books before making choice or choose before reading?
ReplyDeleteI read one book to the class in the morning. I read the second one in the afternoon. We then vote via "SurveyMonkey" and post the results to our brackets. The class loves it!
