Waka Waka - This Time for Africa - by Shakira
*Changing gears this week with a little Hispanic Flare.
*I've used this song before in the past and my students always enjoy it.
*We will watch the first video once (maybe twice if we have time).
*After viewing it, the writers will write between 5-10 minutes in their writer's notebooks.
*They can record their thoughts, feelings, emotions, reactions, or reminders.
*I have a few students share at the end of our writing time.
*During the week after lunch we watch the video a few more times. It is great when they start singing along with the words.
