"Man's Best Friend"
*Each Wednesday I share a photograph with my students.
*This becomes our writing prompt for the day. We write everyday in our writer's notebook.
*Anytime I see a picture of a dog, I'm probably going to use it. I'm a huge dog lover.
*I found this picture to be quite powerful.
*After discussing the picture as a class, we get busy with our writing.
*The writers can record their thoughts, reactions, connections, emotions, or what they notice.
*They can also write a fiction story.
*If any of the writers want to share at the end, they are more than welcome to.
