The One and Only Bob by Katherine Applegate

How I Heard About It:
*I was thrilled and honored when Katherine Applegate sent myself, along with #bookexpedition, an ARC of her upcoming sequel to the one and only ONE and ONLY IVAN.  It was the perfect story to "escape" into during this very strange time in all of our lives.

What It Is About - FIVE Things You Need to Know:

1.  *Some of the most beloved characters are back:  Ivan, Ruby, and Bob.

2.  *This time around we get to know the scrappy, independent, and wily Bob.

3.  *Bob, lives with his owners, and lucky for him this home is close to his animal friends who are housed at a nearby zoo.

4.  *During a visit to the zoo, Bob is caught up in a terrible storm which causes quite a bit of distruction to the zoo, causing the animals to lose their home and set them loose.

5.  *Bob makes it his mission to save as many of the animals as he can.  During this process he is forced to face his past which is colliding with his future.

What I Thought Of It - Five Observations/Reflections:
1.  *Loved it, loved it, loved it!

2.  *I absolutely love the way Katherine Applegate sets up a story, draws the reader in, and holds our attention the entire reading experience.

3.  *Bob was a larger than life character; even though he is a physically small dog.

4.  *As a reader, I enjoyed getting back to Ivan and Ruby; along with getting to know a whole slew of new and incredible animals.

5.  *There was lots of suspense, action, and reading on the "edge of my seat" which kept me reading until the late hours of last night.

Who Should Read It:

*Everyone = kids, young-adults, and adults.  They will all LOVE the story.  Happy Reading!
